东朱村位于东海镇中部，村内东朱工业区入驻了服装、鞋业等企业。[2]

村名的来历：清乾隆四十六年（1781年），蔡氏一族从东沙村分出，兄弟四人分居东朱、上图、屿头、利角等地，长兄所在之地便称东朱。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年，东朱村为蔡厝大队下的自然村；1978年自蔡厝分出，设东朱大队。1984年10月改为村民委员会，属灵川乡。1988年划入莆田县灵川镇，1999年改隶莆田县东海镇，2002年起属城厢区东海镇。[1]

经济[edit]

传统农业以龙眼种植为主，村民还保留元宵巡游等民俗活动。[2]

文化[edit]

2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，东朱村先后三次列入淘宝村名单。2020年11月，东朱村被认定为2020年度莆田市中级版「绿盈乡村」。2021年11月，东朱村获评「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
