上图村位于东海镇西部，沈海高速与福厦高铁经过村域，全村面积858.20公顷。[1]

村名原作「上炉」，村民以「炉」字寓意不吉为由请求改名，1999年改为「上图」。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年土地改革完成后，此地为莆田县屿南乡上炉村。1957年成立上炉农业合作社，1958年转入人民公社，1984年并入灵川人民公社的利角生产大队。[2]

1999年11月起，此村改称东海镇的上图村民委员会，2002年起属城厢区东海镇。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年3月，上图村被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」。[2]
