山门里村隶属于福建省莆田市城厢区灵川镇，是镇内的一个行政村。村名取自周围群山形成的地势。[1]

名称由来[edit]

村落四周环山，只有南面一座山形如门户，村庄位于门内，故称山门。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年以前，此地属柯朱乡管辖。此后归灵川人民公社，编为一个生产大队，1964年另立大队。[1]

1984年10月，原大队改设村委会，归灵川乡辖；1988年10月，改由莆田县灵川镇管辖；2002年2月，再划入莆田市城厢区灵川镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，该村获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。2023年11月，该村被认定为「2023年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
