云庄村隶属于福建省莆田市城厢区灵川镇，是镇内的一个行政村。村名与一条曲折环绕村落的小溪有关。[1][2]

名称由来[edit]

村中有一道细流穿村而过，水道迂回绕着村落，莆田方言中「迂」字读音近于「云」，村庄因此得名云庄。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年后，此地的隶属关系几经变动，先归第五区，随后划入第十五区、第十九区与第十八区。及至1955年，它被编入灵川区何寨乡；到1957年，又改划寨东乡管辖。次年起归灵川公社何寨大队，1961年转由何寨公社统辖，此时称云庄大队；1965年再回灵川公社何寨大队，1971年才以灵川公社云庄大队的名称出现。[1]

1984年10月，原大队改设村委会，归灵川乡辖；1988年10月，改由莆田县灵川镇管辖；2002年2月，再划入莆田市城厢区灵川镇。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，云庄村获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
