西许村位于华亭镇木兰溪南岸，三面傍山，一面临水，福厦公路穿过全境。[1]

村内的西许马思聪墓为明代墓葬，1988年重修。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名原作西庄，据传由许氏族人开基定居，于是改称西许。[1]

建国初期，村庄属第十五区；此后1957年归溪南乡，1961年改属西许公社，1964年划入华亭公社，设西许大队。[1]

1984年改设莆田县华亭乡西许村委会；2002年起划入莆田市城厢区华亭镇西许村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

西许马思聪墓位于村内汤亭山，始建于明代，1988年重修。墓主体平面呈「风」字形，墓丘为砖石构筑。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年9月、2021年10月与2022年10月，村庄三次列入「淘宝村」名单。[1]

2020年11月，村庄被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」；2021年3月，被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」；2021年11月，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
