历史沿革[edit]
村名原先属白沙境，后以「兴沙」命名，取兴旺发达之意。村内原有四个自然村，1950年合并为兴沙大队。[1]
1952年编入莆田县华亭人民公社，称兴沙生产大队；1956年改属濑溪人民公社高级社；1968年设革命领导小组。[1]
1984年改属华亭乡，称兴沙村；1986年设兴沙村委会，隶属莆田县华亭镇；2002年起划入莆田市城厢区华亭镇兴沙村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年9月、2021年10月与2022年10月，村庄三次列入「淘宝村」名单。[1]
2020年11月，村庄被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」；2021年3月，被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」；2021年11月，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
