历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历：此地原是枫树林，又位于后方，故名后枫。1949年至1950年间属后枫乡；1952年至1953年并入利民乡；1954年至1957年设后枫大队，并设高级农业合作社。[1]
1957年至1959年归华亭人民公社，1959年至1968年间，它划给濑溪人民公社管辖，同时在1961年设立了后枫村管理委员会。[1]
1984年改属莆田县华亭乡，成立后枫村民委员会；1985年起，它归莆田县华亭镇，称后枫村民委员会；2002年划入城厢区华亭镇，名称未变。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年11月，村庄被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」；2021年11月，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
