隆兴村位于华亭镇西北部，西侧与涧口社区接壤，东侧与埔柳村相邻，北靠宫利村，华涧公路穿村而过。[1]

村名取自周围起伏隆起的山峰，有生意兴隆、人兴财旺之意。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代以前此地为兴化府莆田县新兴里的隆兴境。1949年8月归莆田县第十五区隆兴保；1950年设隆兴乡，1952年与1954年仍属第十五区隆兴乡；1956年改为隆兴高级社。[2]

1958年划入莆田县埔柳人民公社，设隆兴生产大队；1961年转归华亭人民公社，编为隆兴生产大队；1968年设革命领导小组；1980年又以隆兴生产大队的名义隶属华亭人民公社。[2]

1984年由队改村，隶属莆田县华亭乡；1986年归华亭镇；2002年起划入莆田市城厢区华亭镇。[2]

经济[edit]

村中百姓的收入，多来自养殖与种植，外出务工者亦为数不少。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年11月，村庄被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」；2021年3月，被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」；2021年11月，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
