五云村位于华亭镇西北部，下辖三个自然村，村中有「西坪寺」等历史景观。[1][2]

村名由五湾改称而来，缘于莆田方言中「湾」与「云」读音相近。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据说南北朝时期，林姓村民从南靖迁来定居。这里群山环绕，一山一湾，原称五湾村，后因莆田方言中「湾」与「云」读音相近，改称五云。[1]

清代以前此地是莆田县文赋里的五云境。1950年归莆田县华亭乡；1956年并入莆田县华亭五云高级社；1962年归华亭人民公社，设五云领导小组；1968年改设五云生产大队。[1]

1984年，此地改为华亭乡五云村委会；2002年起划入莆田市城厢区华亭镇五云村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

村中有「西坪寺」等历史景观。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，村庄被确定为「福建省第一批高级版绿盈乡村」；2021年2月，入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；2022年10月，被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

2022年11月，村庄被确定为「2021年度全国综合减灾示范社区」；2023年1月，被司法部、民政部命名为「第九批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]

2024年11月，村庄被认定为「2024年度福建省一村一品专业村」，主导产业为晚熟龙眼；2025年3月，获「第七届全国文明村镇」称号，同月被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
