宫利村位于华亭镇西北方向，距镇政府约4公里，与常太镇交界。[1]

村名的由来与村民的居住格局有关，村民俗称其为「宫里」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村民居住的地方形似皇宫，村民集中住在村内，俗称宫里；「利」与「里」读音相近，于是有了宫利之名。[1]

民国时期此地属莆田县华亭区宫利公社；1952年划归华亭乡，设宫利生产大队；1980年改隶华亭人民公社，仍为宫利大队；1984年改设宫利村委会，隶属华亭乡；2002年起划入城厢区华亭镇。[1]

经济[edit]

村民的主要收入来自枇杷、龙眼等果树，也有人外出务工。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年11月，村庄被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」；2021年11月，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2021年12月，被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]

2023年9月，村庄被认定为「2023年莆田市一村一品专业村」，主导产业为枇杷；2024年11月，被认定为「2024年度福建省一村一品专业村」（枇杷）。[1]
