濑溪村位于华亭镇西部，处在福厦路与濑榜路的交汇处，背倚三紫山，西面与云峰村相邻，南侧临着木兰溪。[1]

村名的由来与木兰溪中的田滩有关。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村民住在木兰溪两岸，相传溪中有田滩，「濑」字带有田滩的意思，村名由此而来。[1]

清代以前，此地属莆田县城南乡。1950年设濑溪乡；1958年划入莆田县华亭人民公社，称濑溪大队；1961年改归莆田县濑溪人民公社；1967年再归华亭人民公社，设革命领导小组。[1]

1980年改称莆田县华亭人民公社；1984年由队改村，隶属华亭乡，设濑溪村委会；1986年改为莆田县华亭镇濑溪村委员会；2002年起划入城厢区华亭镇。[1][2]

经济[edit]

村内以第二、第三产业为支柱，有民营企业、建筑工程承包和建材贸易等，农作物以枇杷与龙眼为主。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年9月、2021年10月与2022年10月，村庄三次列入「淘宝村」名单。[1]

2021年3月，村庄被确定为「莆田市第十五届市级文明村镇（社区）」；2020年11月，被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」；2021年11月，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
