濑厝村位于华亭镇西北部，距镇政府约2公里。[1]

村名的来历据传与一户明代外乡人家的窘境有关。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据传明朝时，一户河南来的难民举家迁居此地。因不擅农事，只能以芦草搭屋，草屋破败，路人便称之为「懒汉无厝」，村名由此而来。[1]

清代至1949年8月，此地属莆田县华亭濑厝境；1950年设濑厝乡；1954年归濑厝初级社，1956年归濑厝高级社；1958年隶属埔柳人民公社，设濑厝大队；1971年改隶华亭人民公社。[1]

1984年，濑厝大队改为村，属莆田县华亭乡，设村民委员会；1986年改称华亭镇濑厝村民委员会；2002年起归城厢区华亭镇管辖。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2012年，村庄被评为征兵工作先进单位。[1]

2020年11月，村庄被认定为「2020年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」；2022年12月，获「2022年福建省卫生村」称号，由福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名。[1]
