埔柳村在华亭镇政府所在地的西北方，莆永高速与濑榜路自东向西横穿村域，南面与华亭社区相接。[1]

村名截取埔头与柳园两个自然村的首字，村中有华亭地下交通站旧址和明代的埔柳卓迈墓。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名取自所辖埔头、柳园两个自然村名的首字。[1]

民国时此地属莆田县华亭区埔柳公社；1952年改属华亭乡埔柳公社；1961年归莆田县华亭乡，设埔柳生产队；1980年又成为华亭人民公社下的埔柳生产队。[1]

1984年改称埔柳村委会，属华亭乡；1985年改属华亭镇；2002年起划入莆田市城厢区华亭镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子下分埔头、柳园、山仔、西山、下铁灶五处自然村落，有耕地、山地与果地，因人多地少，村民多从事加工业、手工业、养殖业和种植业。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

华亭地下交通站旧址位于山仔自然村，旧址所在的兰亭寺又称草亭寺。革命战争时期，这里是地下交通员交换情报的地点，多次为莆田党组织安全传递情报。[1]

埔柳卓迈墓位于柳园自然村，建于明代，列为莆田市第九批市级文物保护单位，坐西南朝东北，平面呈「风」字形。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年9月，村庄被认定为「第二批全国乡村治理示范村」；2021年12月，民政部办公厅确认其为「全国村级议事协商创新实验试点单位」。[1]

2020年12月，村庄入选「2020年度福建省一村一品示范村」（花卉）名单；2021年10月与2022年10月，两度列入「淘宝村」名单。[1]

2021年11月，村庄获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2022年12月，获「2022年福建省森林村庄」称号；2025年11月，被认定为「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
