历史沿革[edit]
社区所在地夹在仙游县盖尾一带的后井山与坪洋山之间，一股涧水由北向南流下，到宫后出口处汇出，地名由此而来。[1]
清代以前，此地归莆田县华亭区管辖。人民公社时期，它先隶属华亭人民公社，编为涧口生产大队；1961年曾划归埔柳公社，设涧口大队。1968年成立革命领导小组，1980年重新以涧口生产大队的名义归属华亭人民公社。[1]
1984年，生产队变成了村，设涧口村委会，隶属华亭乡；1986年它划归华亭镇人民政府；2012年，村委会改为社区居委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
社区先后获「福建省第一批高级版绿盈乡村」（2020年12月）、「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」（2021年2月入选）与「2021年度福建省森林村庄」（2021年12月）的称号。[1]
2024年12月，社区上榜「2024年福建省儿童友好社区」名单；2025年6月，被认定为「2025年莆田市一村一品专业村」，主导产业为龙眼。[1]
