东青村位于常太镇北部，离镇区约5公里，村内有一条青溪。[1]

村子在镇的东边，又有青溪流经，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前此地属东西会东青保。1949年解放后划入第八区，编为东照乡。1958年改设东霞乡东照大队，1984年12月设东青村委会，隶属常太乡。1992年10月起归莆田县常太镇，2002年以后属莆田市城厢区常太镇东青村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年2月，东青村列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；2022年10月，被认定为「2022年度莆田市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
