利车村位于常太镇内，村部即设在利车所在地，是镇里的行政村之一。[1]

此地原为一个村民小组，当年地下革命人员在这里最为集中，村名由此定下。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

文革前期此地归东圳公社，文革后期划入莆田县常太乡。1958年成为脱车大队，隶属常太公社；1961年又转入东圳公社，名为利车大队；1965年重回常太公社。1980年改称利车生产大队，1984年12月设利车村委会，此后隶属常太镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

利车村在2022年12月获「2022年福建省卫生村」称号，授予单位是福建省爱国卫生运动委员会；2023年12月，村子又被命名为「2023年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]
