木兰村是霞林街道下辖的行政村，属城乡结合区。村名来自流经村旁的木兰溪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代以前，此地属莆田县城郊公社。1958年，它成为莆田县人民公社城郊木兰生产大队的一部分；1961年改由莆田县霞林人民公社管理，仍称木兰生产大队。1968年，此处设木兰队革命领导小组；1980年，它又成为城郊人民公社的木兰生产大队。1984年改称木兰村委会，1986年以后隶属莆田市城厢区。[1]

荣誉[edit]

木兰村列入「2020年淘宝村」名单，该名单由阿里研究院于2020年9月公布。2021年10月，「2021年淘宝村」名单经南京大学空间规划研究中心与阿里研究院联合发布，木兰村再次入选。2022年10月，木兰村又出现在「2022年淘宝村」名单里。2024年1月，村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
