屿上社区位于霞林街道，属城乡结合区。社区四面环水，形似岛屿，因此得名；此前它曾称铁屿村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年，此地归渠桥公社的庸灶乡管辖。1963至1986年间，它与铁灶村并为一体，名为铁屿村，也称铁屿生产大队。1984年，它隶属城厢区城郊乡的铁屿村委会；1988年起转为城郊乡的铁屿社区，直到2001年才划归霞林街道。2019年5月8日，它改为屿上社区居民委员会。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，社区被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
