坂头社区位于霞林街道，属城乡结合区。社区名称的来由是天坂公路经过此地，且这里临海、地势平坦。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年此处设为五生乡。1957年，它归城郊公社的坂头大队所有；1968年，城郊公社革委会接管此地，并成立坂头革命领导小组。1980年，城郊公社在此设坂头生产大队，1984年改称坂头村，1986年改属城南乡。2019年5月，坂头社区居民委员会取代了原来的村级组织。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，社区被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
