肖厝社区位于霞林街道，属城乡结合区。社区的名字来自早年村民多数姓肖。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期至1949年，此地属莆田县肖厝。1952年，它并入莆田县城郊人民公社，成为其中的肖厝生产大队；1961年改划给莆田县城南乡，仍称肖厝生产大队。1968年，此处设立革命领导小组；1980年，它转为城南乡之下的肖厝村委会。1986年，它被划归城厢区城南乡政府管辖，村委会名称未变。2018年5月，改设为肖厝社区居民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，社区被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
