地名[edit]
村名源于尾山。此山在村东的一座小丘北麓，俗称尾山，经方言变音后写作美山。[2]
沿革[edit]
清代归同禾里锄山保管辖；民国时划在民石乡西莲塘保内；1950年归第六区湖岗乡，1955年改隶马巷区。1961年析置美山大队，1984年改为内厝乡美山村委会，2003年划归翔安区。[1]
