霞美村位于内厝镇，由下尾店、塘头、后坑三个自然村组成。博雅地名网载全村有672户，户籍人口2682人，村占地260亩，旱地与水田各占一部分。水利设施的老化曾长期制约农业灌溉。[1]

村委会原设在下美店，后将“店”字去掉，改用雅称“霞美”作为村委会名称。[2]

沿革[edit]

清代属西莲塘保；民国时归石乡霞塘保管；1950年隶属第六区，1955年划归马巷区。1964年设霞美大队，1984年改为内厝乡霞美村委会，2003年划归翔安区。[3]
