莲前村位于内厝镇南面，距镇政府约3千米，村内自然村有八个：溪边后、东山、张厝、斗门、蔡塘、院内、莲后和莲前。博雅地名网载全村1181户，户籍人口4256人。莲溪自村中由北向南穿流而过，将全村分成溪东、溪西两部分。[1]

地名与地形有关：村子处在莲溪东南的丘陵间，形状似莲花，两处各有一个莲字村，南边的一个称莲前。[2]

沿革[edit]

清代归民安里蓬莱保管辖，民国时属民石乡莲院保；1950年归第六区霞莲乡，1955年改隶马巷区，1961年划归巷东公社。1984年改为内厝乡莲前村委会，2003年划归翔安区。[3]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月命名莲前村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
