后垵村位于翔安与南安的交界地带，紧邻小盈岭，后方依靠鸿渐山，国道324线从村前经过。博雅地名网载全村有295户，常住人口1185人，分为6个村民小组。[1]

地名[edit]

村子坐落在小山北侧的马鞍形地带，山南称前鞍，山北称后鞍，因谐音而写作后垵。另有传说，宋代建宁府通判许衍曾为村子取名“南半里”，后经其后裔许垂旭改为后鞍。[2]

沿革[edit]

清代归民安里宏鼎保管辖；民国时划在民石乡沙溪保内；1950年成立沙溪乡，1955年隶属马巷区。1964年析置后垵大队，1984年为内厝乡后垵村委会，2003年划归翔安区。[3]

古迹[edit]

后垵村东北部的小盈岭西南坡上有同民安关隘，朱熹手书的“同民安”三字曾刻在最初的石坊上。关隘1984年被定为同安县文物保护单位。[4][5]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月命名后垵村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
