马塘村属福建省厦门市翔安区新圩镇，为该镇下辖的行政村，只有马塘1个自然村，经济以农产品深加工为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子南、东、北三侧有小山围合，西侧为一片谷地。早年马姓人家在此挖掘水塘，用以灌溉，故称马塘。[1]

清代属同禾里郭山后保，1943年改属同禾乡布塘保，1950年隶第四区布塘乡。1980年前后，村子交通不便，土地贫瘠，人称「瘦马塘」。[2]

1985年，村民创办兴华罐头厂；此后企业几经更名，发展为厦门银鹭集团。1993年设立马塘村委会。1997年划归同安区，2003年改属翔安区。[1][2]

文化[edit]

2005年，马塘村列入「第一届全国文明村镇」名单，同年被授予「全国文明村」称号。2009年1月，马塘村入选「第二届全国文明村镇」名单。[1][2]

2012年10月，司法部与民政部确定马塘村为「第五批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」；2018年10月，农业农村部推介马塘村为「2018年中国美丽休闲乡村」；2020年12月，马塘村被确定为「福建省第一批高级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
