历史沿革[edit]
宋代庄姓人家在鞍形地带建居，故地名为庄垵。[1]
清代属同禾里辜井、沈井保，1943年归民石乡沈井保。1950年改称曾林，归第六区；1955年隶桂林乡。1961年设庄垵大队，隶汀溪区新圩公社。1984年，这里改为庄垵村，隶新圩乡；1988年起归新圩镇；1997年为同安县辖区，2003年翔安区设立后改隶翔安区。[1]
文化[edit]
2021年11月，福建省爱卫办确认庄垵村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
姑井砖塔位于姑井自然村西南约500米的田中，建造年代无记载，风格属元代。原先共3座，如今完整与残缺者各存1座，两者相距约15米。[2]
完整的东塔为密檐实心八角砖塔，塔刹已毁，残存5层，残高约5.4米，底层边长1.1米。第二层与第五层西面各开一门状佛龛，原置石雕佛像。西塔仅残存底部两层。[2]
