历史沿革[edit]
此地原为吕姓人居住之处，村前有一口池塘，因而得名[1]。
清代隶属民安里十都蓬莱保，民国时属仁风乡吕塘保，1950年设吕塘乡，归第六区管辖，1955年改属洪钟区[1]。1959年组建吕塘大队，隶新店公社；1961年一度划往盐山公社，同年又并入新店公社；1984年成立吕塘村委会，隶新店乡，1987年改设镇；1997年转同安区，2003年转翔安区，2006年3月改为社区[1]。
人口民族[edit]
1998年统计，吕塘村委会分为10个村民小组，共740户、3312人[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
社区境内有明代浙江按察司官员蔡贵易（金门人）的墓葬，以及明代通政使柳智的太监碑[1]。
文化[edit]
郭圣科是侯官教谕，也是文举人，其故里在吕塘，时代为清康熙年间[1]。
