何厝社区原为马巷镇的何厝村委会，2006年6月改为社区，现属民安街道[1]。地名源于此地旧为何姓的聚居之地[1]。旧村辖何厝、双溪湖两个自然村，双溪湖位于两条溪流冲积之处[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

此地清代为同禾里五都内官保的一部分，民国时期先后归官山乡与侯牧乡。1950年隶内官乡，1959年并入马巷公社的内官大队[1]。1961年析出何厝大队，改属巷西公社，1964年又回到马巷公社；1984年后滨乡设何厝村委会，1987年起归马巷镇[1]。
