内垵社区原为马巷镇的内垵村委会，2006年改为社区，村内旧辖内垵、下庄两个自然村[1]。地名因村落处在两道马鞍形地形之间、地势偏低而得[1]。2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名内垵社区为「2021年福建省卫生社区」[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
清代此地属民安里内林保，1943年归侯牧乡内垵保；1950年改设黎安乡，1959年隶马巷公社黎安大队[1]。1961年自黎安大队分出内垵大队，属巷西公社，1984年改为后滨乡内垵村委会[1]。
地名与人物[edit]
下庄位于上庄西侧，地势较低，明洪武年间的文举人洪宋立即出身于此[2]。
