民安街道是福建省厦门市翔安区下辖的街道，2021年由原新店、马巷两个街道析置为六个街道之一而设立，下辖12个社区[1]。辖区大部分地域清代属民安里，「翔安」区得名的由来之一即在于此[1]。辖区村落1987年起属马巷镇，1997年划归同安区，2003年随翔安区设立划入翔安区，2006年前后陆续改制为社区[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

清代，辖区村落分属翔风里、同禾里和民安里的若干保甲[3][4][7]，其中民安里之名后来成为翔安区得名的由来之一[1]。1943年，各村归侯牧乡管辖[2][3]；1950年前后，它们组成山亭、亭洋、内官、海滨、黎安等乡，1959年改设大队，隶属马巷公社[2][4]。

1984年，各大队改为后滨乡下的村委会；1987年起属马巷镇；1997年划归同安区，2003年属翔安区，2006年改制为社区[2][4]。2021年1月，新店镇、马巷镇撤销，分别设立新店街道、马巷街道；同年3月，市政府批准将两个街道分拆，设立共六个街道，民安街道即为其中之一[1]。

姓氏宗族[edit]

辖区村落多以陈姓为主，山亭、亭洋、洪溪等村多为陈氏聚落[5][9][10]；同美的打埔、后柄多李姓，下方多方姓，内垵的下庄则多洪姓[6][7][8]。

辖区内的革命旧址与文物古迹分布于山亭社区与同美社区，详见山亭社区、同美社区两条[2][7]。
