东界社区位于凤翔街道西南部，辖洪坑、林头、宋洋、石塘和东界五个自然村，境内有明代五层石塔。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1943年归振南乡东界保，1950年设东界乡，隶第五区，1955年改归洪钟区。1959年划入新店公社浦园大队，1963年分出东界大队，1969年改隶新店公社。1984年改为东界村委会，1987年划入新店镇，1997年划入同安区，2003年改隶翔安区，2006年12月改设社区居委会。[1]
文物古迹[edit]
境内有一座明代五层石塔，区政府网站称之为东界石塔。[1][2]
名人故里[edit]
南宋宁宗嘉定年间进士、东莞知县许巨川，与明代吴江知县许全，都以东界为故里。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
