炉前社区位于凤翔街道西部，辖炉前、双过山两个自然村，是侨乡。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村子建于葫芦山之前，原名芦前，后谐音写作炉前。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代隶翔风里十三都卢山龚保，1943年归振南乡炉前保，1950年改为乐群乡，1955年改归洪钟区。1959年设新店公社西岩大队，1961年分设炉星大队，改属县直渔业公社；1964年改隶东坑公社，1969年2月并入新店公社。1984年改为新店乡炉前村委会，1987年改属新店镇。1997年划入同安区，2003年随翔安区设立划入翔安，2006年3月改制为社区。[1]
名人故里[edit]
清代魏大猷、魏平、魏文伟三位武官，都以此地为故里。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
