历史沿革[edit]
清代此地属翔风里十二都曾吴保，民国时属仁风乡湖头保。1950年称祥湖乡，1959年时这里是新店公社下的祥湖大队，1984年改为新店乡祥吴村委会，1987年归新店镇。[1]
1997年归同安区管辖，2003年起属翔安区，2006年3月由村委会改为社区。[1]
原村委会下辖9个自然村：上吴、东浦、后山、浯溪、宋坂、宋厝、沟沙、顶曾与下曾。1998年的统计为733户、3054人，另有20个村民小组。[1][3]
福建省爱卫会在2022年12月命名社区为「2022年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
