马巷街道位于福建省厦门市翔安区中西部，东接内厝镇，东南与新店街道相邻，西面濒临同安湾，西北与同安区洪塘镇相连，东北与新圩镇接壤。2021年1月，马巷镇撤销后设立马巷街道，行政区域未作变动，截至2021年10月下辖18个社区。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

清乾隆四十年（1775年）设马巷厅，今街道所在地即属其辖境。[1] 民国二十九年（1940年）此处为第二区马巷镇，另有民石、侯牧、官山三乡。[2] 1955年改属马巷区，分设巷西、巷南、巷东三乡；1958年10月并入马巷公社。[1] 2003年4月划归翔安区。[2] 2021年1月，福建省撤销马巷镇，设立马巷街道；同年3月，原有的新店、马巷两个街道被拆分，之后共有「新店、凤翔、金海、香山、马巷、民安」六个街道。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

马巷在明代称「马家港」，是石浔澳与刘五店汛之间的港口和汛地，船只可由此驶往金门、厦门岛与台湾。[1] 因聚居处多马姓人家，又称马家巷、马厝巷；另一种说法认为唐代此地设有马场，饲马人后来改姓马，聚居处因此得名。[1]

经济[edit]

2019年，街道登记在册的工业企业有629家，规模以上的有59家；面积在50平方米以上的零售门店中，综合商店与超市合计479家。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

翔安文武庙在翔安第一中学南侧约100米、马巷城隍庙北侧。清嘉庆十三年（1808年）开始兴建，三年后完工。民国时庙宇荒废，一度作过往军队的驻地，后又改为学校校舍。[1]

马巷元威殿在马巷街，建于清代，坐西朝东，由前后两殿和方亭组成，供奉池府王爷等神明。[1]

民俗文化[edit]

街道的民俗项目有「翔安农民画」「闽台风狮爷信俗」「翔安拍胸舞」「春仔花习俗」「香山庙会」，另有「宋江阵」。[1]

荣誉[edit]

马巷街道获得「2012—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」称号，授予单位为环境保护部，时间为2014年6月。[1]

马巷街道两次列入淘宝镇名单：2021年的一份由「南京大学空间规划研究中心」与阿里研究院共同发布，2022年10月公布的名单中也有马巷街道。[1]
