地名由来[edit]
相传明代张氏自内陆迁来，原先居住在余厝，为纪念祖籍地而挖了八口池塘，并把余厝改名为阳塘[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
清代此地属同安县翔风里大嶝保。1914年改属金门县，称嶝东乡阳塘保；1950年划入嶝东乡，隶大嶝区[1]。
1958年设阳塘大队，归大嶝公社管辖；1984年村委会以阳塘为名，编入大嶝乡。2003年起隶翔安区大嶝镇，2005年2月转为社区居委会[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
大嶝海峡之声前线广播电台旧址建于1976年，由入口处的空压机房、长210米的战地坑道和出口处的军事广播大喇叭组成。2018年9月，它被列入福建省第九批省级文物保护单位[2]。
人物[edit]
博雅地名网记载，明万历年间的文进士、都察院右副御史张廷拱，以及文举人张若纲，都以阳塘为故里[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，社区获「2023年福建省卫生社区」的命名[1]。
