军村是五显镇南部的行政村，村委会驻军村。村名的来历是：建村以前，此地是军屯储粮的地方，故称军村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代村地属长兴里杏村保。1943年归长兴乡军村保，1950年改称军村乡，属第四区。1959年设布塘公社军村大队，1961年转属果园公社。[1][2]
东升大队是1966年前后的名称，1980年村名恢复为军村大队，1984年起改为五显乡军村村委会，沿用至今。[1]
文化[edit]
境内有同安五显中学，村中设有小学和卫生所。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，军村获「2023年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
