香溪社区是五显镇下辖的社区，城乡分类属主城区，紧邻同安的母亲河东溪。社区居委会成立于2016年，此前这片地方原属西洋村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，此地归长兴里安岭保管辖，民国时属西洋保。1950年设西洋乡，1959年称西洋大队，1984年改为西洋村。[1]

2012年因征地开发，区政府以厦府〔2012〕189号文命名五秀一里至四里和西洋一里至三里。厦府〔2016〕285号文定名香溪东西南北路，同年（2016年）设立社区居委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

香溪社区获授「2022年福建省卫生社区」称号，授予方为福建省爱国卫生运动委员会，时间在2022年底。[1]
