历史沿革[edit]
明嘉靖年间（1522-1566），叶姓人家来此开基。民国后期它归美峰乡进美保管辖，新中国成立后并入西岭乡。1959年才另设汀溪公社前格大队；1961年改属五峰公社，1964年重归汀溪公社。1984年设立前格村委会，此后未再更改。[1]
自然与人文[edit]
村地森林覆盖率较高，有石美溪谷等自然景观。据百度百科，境内有建于宋代的茶马古道，以及隋唐时期的化度院遗址。[2]
产业与集体经济[edit]
村内设前格村股份经济合作社，成立于2019年5月10日。村里借助党支部、国企与合作社三方合作的办法发展乡村旅游，已建成百亩花海和民宿。村民的收入来源以出租山地、外出务工和种植为主。[2]
荣誉[edit]
前格村于2017年11月获「第五届全国文明村镇」称号，授予单位为中央文明委。2020年12月，前格村入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单。2025年5月，村里获「2025年厦门市一村一品专业村」认定，产品为桔柚。[1]
