半岭村位于汀溪镇西北部，下辖11个自然村，其中包括大丘田、吊灯、格仔埔和东新等。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明正德年间（1506-1522），廖姓一支来到这里定居，其开基祖为廖元盛，原先住在安溪县龙门镇的善益一带。1943年，它划归美峰乡进美保；1950年并入西岭乡。1959年设为汀溪公社半岭大队，1961年改属五峰公社，1964年再回汀溪公社。1984年改称半岭村委会，此名沿用至今。[1]
