历史沿革[edit]
清代，村地属感化里，分在六都至八都之间的埔尾与泽卢两保。1943年它归美峰乡管辖，所在保为美石保。1950年设立褒美乡，此后1959年时称埔美大队，次年（1960年）更名为褒美大队。1961年，它划归上埔公社；1964年又回到汀溪公社。1984年改设褒美村委会，1991年随乡改镇。[1][2]
产业[edit]
村内经济以出租山地、出租厂房、务工和种植为主。2024年，村里注册了「褒美进士芋」国家地理标志商标，以此推动芋头产业的品牌化。[2]
荣誉[edit]
村里在2024年初获命名「2023年福建省卫生村」。2025年5月，褒美村获认定为「2025年厦门市一村一品专业村」，对应的产品是进士芋。[1]
