村址在山区西北一小块平地上，与安溪县大坪相邻，因规模不大而得名。[1]

人口与产业[edit]

村中住户579户，人口2064人，设9个村民小组，年份未注。村民以农业为主，芥菜与茶叶是主要收入。2011年村集体收入15.23万元，人均纯收入8074元。[1]

沿革[edit]

清代此地归感化里的小坪保。民国时隶属莲山乡杜川保，其后随杜川一带的建制变动；1961年析出小坪大队，1964年归莲花公社，1984年设莲花乡小坪村委会。[1]
