湖安社区是福建省厦门市同安区美林街道下辖的社区，同集路穿村而过。名称据博雅地名网取自古湖、后垵两个地名各一字的尾字。[1][2]

社区原为村庄，2006年改制为社区；2022年4月划入新设的美林街道。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

古湖一带地势低洼，古时溪流经过，渐渐淤积成一片低地，远望状似湖泊，因而有此称。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，此地同样归从顺里四、五都管辖，属肖前保。民国时期并入塘柑乡的后宅保。[2]

1950年改属第七区的后宅乡，1956年为策槽区的新民乡。1959年成为策槽公社新辉大队的一部分，1961年则归策槽区新民公社管辖。[2]

1984年起划入祥桥乡，乡于1991年改镇，1992年更名为新民镇。2003年单设湖安村委会，2006年村委会改制为湖安社区。[2]
