同新社区是福建省厦门市同安区大同街道下辖的社区，位于同安商业老街一带。社区2003年4月由东溪、双溪两个居委会合并而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代，双溪一带属在坊里龙津坊的西驿保，东溪一带属南国坊的铜鱼馆保。1950年两地分属城关镇的双溪街和东溪街，1955年分设双溪、东溪两个居委会。[1]

1958年，双溪与西安组成友谊居委会；1966年两者各自改名，分别为卫东与东红；1980年友谊析出双溪，东红则复名为东溪居委会。1984年划归大同镇，2000年12月进入大同街道。[1]

地名[edit]

双溪是同安的母亲河，社区因此得名；「同新」则取自辖区内的同新路。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予该社区「2021年福建省卫生社区」称号。[1]
