省天马种猪场在厦门市集美区境内，是区行政区划中被列为「类似乡级单位」的农业单位之一，与厦门市第二农场、天马华侨农场并列。[2]
据百度百科，该场成立时间记为1954年，主要从事瘦肉型种猪的引进、培育和推广。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1954年，陈嘉庚把一处校舍交给省农业厅，此后这处校舍改作种猪场的场址。[1]
进入80年代，该场又承担起几个外来猪种的驯化与推广，其中有杜洛克、长白与大白。[1]
1993年，该场入列全国大白猪（大约克）育种协作组，据称是全省较早研究瘦肉型猪育种的单位之一。[1]
百度百科称该场后来已注销事业单位登记，而集美区的行政区划说明仍把它列为类似乡级单位，两者的先后时间未作说明。[1][2]
