岩内村位于后溪镇东北部，辖东埔、墩上、埔中央、白地4个自然村，距后溪镇政府约6公里。[1]

地名由来[edit]

1984年，为与东孚乡东浦村相区别，因村四周岩石较多，改称岩内村。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

清末这里设东墩保，民国时属东英保，建国初分属集美乡、东埔乡与珩东乡。1958年10月，此处划入后溪公社的珩东大队。[2]

1961年9月，海山公社设立，珩东大队分为崎沟、东宅、后垵、东埔四个大队。1964年5月，海山公社回归后溪公社，此地成为东埔大队。1984年10月，此地设东埔村委会，隶属后溪乡，后乡改镇于1991年。1987年划入集美区。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

岩内水库东侧山腰有寿石岩，岩壁上存有崇祯年间的石刻。[4]

墩上自然村西侧有狗肚山遗存点，地表散见夹砂灰陶片、印纹硬陶片等遗物。[5]
