历史沿革[edit]
清代属陈井保。1956年并入灌口区灌口乡，1958年划为郊区灌口公社的井城大队。[1]
1984年起设为井城村委会，隶属灌口镇；1987年划归集美区。[1]
文物古迹[edit]
井城遗址为一座城址，外形近似椭圆，东西约143米、南北约111米。城墙用条石砌成，墙体高大，顶部宽到能跑马；原设东、西、南、北四座城门。[3]
村内城墙原为大石垒成，东西南北各开一座城门，城内保留着一座城隍庙和一批老房子。[2]
