地名由来[edit]
上头亭原是单一陈姓的自然村。清代中叶，邻村陈井的村民分居到此，因地势比陈井高，被称为“上头陈”，后来谐音写作“上头亭”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代这里属安仁里十六都的陈井保，民国时划入灌口镇前场保。建国初归灌口区前场乡管，后于1956年改隶灌口区灌口乡。[1]
1958年组建为郊区灌口公社的上头亭大队，1984年成立上头亭村委会，隶属灌口镇，1987年划入集美区。[1]
2004年，此地辟为灌南工业区并改制为社区。自2007年起开展农村社区建设试点，社区健全组织，拓展服务，改善卫生、文化和治安。[1][2]
文物古迹[edit]
上头亭里60号是一处清代建筑，由东、西两组并排的建筑组成，中间隔着小巷，内部采用闽南民居的漆金木雕、灰塑和彩绘装饰。[3]
