灌口第二社区位于灌口镇集镇中心，是镇的文化和经济中心。社区东面临李林涌泉工业区，西面接厦门机械工业集中区，北面与第一社区相邻，南面与上塘村为邻。社区旧城部分围绕灌口老街，新城部分集中在凤泉广场与双桥明珠两个小区。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
清代这里属安仁里十五都的灌口保。清顺治十八年（1661年）在此建灌口城，并设巡检司。[1]
民国时仍称灌口保。1958年，灌口街及周边合组为灌口大队，归郊区灌口公社管辖；1964年4月，灌口街分出单设居委会。[1]
1987年划归集美区，2004年11月灌口居委会转为灌口第二社区。[1]
地名的来历，据博雅地名网所述：明崇祯年间，深青驿的一位驿吏从四川灌县带来李真君神炉供奉。驿吏去世后，他饲养的猎犬把神炉衔到凤山，日夜守在那里。乡人觉得灵异，便在猎犬守候处立庙塑像，香火渐盛，地名即由此而来，用以纪念神炉的原产地灌县。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
凤山祖庙位于灌口街北侧，始建于明天启、崇祯年间，主祀李府清源真君二郎神。博雅地名网称，它在台湾及东南亚各国有160多座分炉。[2][3]
