康城社区位于集美区杏滨街道西北部，在319国道以北，面积约1.96平方千米，是2012年从锦园社区划出设立的。[1]社区名称源自辖区内占地较广的大学康城生活小区。[1]截至2024年，杏滨街道下辖8个社区，康城为其一。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

社区由锦园社区析出。2012年2月起着手筹建，同年经区政府发文确定设立，当年4月正式成立。[1][2]

据博雅地名网（年份未注），社区人口9560人，常住人口与流动人口分别为2533人和7027人。[2]

经济[edit]

社区内的住宅有华雅花园的安置房，大学康城分为一、二、三期商品房，以及康城芳邻的商品住宅。[1]中亚城工业区内另有工厂262家（据博雅地名网，年份未注）。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，社区被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
