兑山社区是厦门市集美区侨英街道下辖的社区，属主城区，社区名取自其驻地原来的兑山村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网所载传说，宋代南安李氏兄弟五人为躲避官府追捕，约定各自落脚处以“山”字作记号。排行第三的一位躲进了一个卢姓聚居的村庄，此地便以“兑山”命名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明代归仁德里十一都，清末到1928年隶属集美乡兑山保，其后又分属英村保、下蔡保。建国初分别属珩山乡、兑英乡和侨英乡。1958年10月编为后溪公社兑山大队，1961年归侨英公社，1964年又归后溪公社。[2]1984年改设后溪乡兑山村委会，2001年划入侨英街道，2003年12月改为兑山社区。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

兑山革命烈士陵园位于社区西北侧的山冈上，占地650平方米，是县级烈士纪念设施，也是市级文物保护单位。[3]
